FAQs

Can I plug my Circuiteer II dryer into any outlet?
All USA and Canadian Circuiteer II models need to be plugged into a 20 amp outlet. All 220 volt units (USA, CE, etc.) must be plugged into the 220 volt outlet in that country.

What else can I use my Circuiteer dryer for?
Many customers have told us they use their Circuiteer dryer for blowing out gutters, drying cars and motorcycles, and blowing down cobwebs in their garage. We think the uses for your Circuiteer dryer are only limited by your imagination.

Are there add on accessories for Circuiteer dryers?
Yes, there are longer hoses for purchase, and wall mounting brackets.

Why is my Circuiteer dryer losing power?
This is a good indicator that your carbon motor brushes need to be changed.

Do I need to use the filter?
Yes, the filter helps to keep hair and dander out of the machine.

How long will my filter last, and how do I clean it?
Clean filters by blowing them out, vacuuming them, or rinse with water. Let filters dry before reusing. Filters should be cleaned daily and busy shops should clean them multiple times daily. Average filter life is 3-6 months, but if you observe any holes or tears in the filter it should be replaced immediately.

Where can I get my Circuiteer dryer maintained and/or repaired?
We have numerous repair partners across the continental United States and Canada to help you with your maintenance and repair needs. You can also send them to our factory in Wisconsin for maintenance and repairs.

What is the warranty on a Circuiteer dryer?
Our warranty is 2 years on defects in workmanship and motors. All other parts are guaranteed 90 days.

How often should I change my motor brushes?
Motor brush life is determined by usage. We recommend that motor brushes be changed every 9-12 months if the dryer is being used for many hours daily.

Why is my dryer getting so hot?
Typically when your dryer gets hotter than usual, this is a good indicator that the carbon motor brushes need to be changed. Also check the filter(s) on the dryer to make sure they are not plugged.

Why is there black soot coming out of my dryer hose?
Many times this is a symptom of brushes that need to be replaced.

Why is my dryer not getting hot anymore?
On rare occasions, we have seen dryers not heat up when the carbon brushes need to be replaced.

Is there a heating element in my Circuiteer dryer?
No. The heat produced by a Circuiteer dryer comes from the motors which create heat while being used.

I have an older Circuiteer dryer. Can I still get parts?
Yes replacement parts are readily available. Be sure to have your serial number off you dryer to help our staff get you the correct parts.

Where do I find my Circuiteer dryer serial number?
The serial number will be found on a silver tag also containing the amperage data, etc.

Can I fix/maintain my Circuiteer dryer myself?
Some items may be easily fixed on some models, while others may be more difficult. It all depends on your level of mechanical and electrical aptitude.

How do I get the motors out of my Circuiteer dryer?
There are many great videos online that show the process of removing the motors from K-9 dryers. We recommend watching these videos to help determine if this is something you wish to tackle yourself.
