FAQs

Can I plug my Turbine Twin vacuum into any 110v outlet?
No. The Turbine Twin vacuum will need to be plugged into a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

Why is my Turbine Twin vacuum losing power?
This is a good indicator that your carbon motor brushes need to be changed.

Where can I get my Turbine Twin vacuum maintained and/or repaired?
We have numerous repair partners across the continental United States and Canada to help you with your maintenance and repair needs. You can also send them to our factory in Wisconsin for maintenance and repairs.

What is the warranty on a Turbine Twin vacuum?
Our warranty is 2 years on defects in workmanship and motors. All other parts are guaranteed 90 days.

How often should I change my motor brushes?
Motor brush life is determined by usage. We recommend that motor brushes be changed every 2-3 years under normal usage conditions.

I have an older Turbine Twin vacuum. Can I still get parts?
Yes replacement parts are readily available. Be sure to have your serial number off you dryer to help our staff get you the correct parts.

Where do I find my Turbine Twin vacuum’s serial number?
The serial number will be found on a silver tag also containing the amperage data, etc

Can I fix/maintain my Turbine Twin vacuum myself?
Some items may be easily fixed, while others may be more difficult. It all depends on your level of mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Is the Turbine Twin a wet/dry vacuum?
No. The Turbine Twin is strictly a dry vacuum.

Does the Turbine Twin vacuum “suck and blow”?
Yes the Turbine Twin can be used as a blower/dryer. Connect the hose to the exhaust port tube of the machine. Tighten the clamp on the hose and fasten the blower tip or cobweb tube to the end of the hose.

Why does my Turbine Twin come with 2 filters?
The first filter is a felt filter which collects the larger dirt particles. The second filter is a nylon filter and collects the finer particles, etc. This prevents foreign matter from entering the machine.

Can I wash the cloth and nylon filters?
Yes, the filters can be washed. We recommend hand washing the filters and allowing them to dry completely before reinstalling into the machine.

Have the filters always been the same on the Turbine Twin vacuums?
No. Older versions of the Turbine Twin vacuums had longer (10”) filters to fit a longer internal cage. Newer versions have a shorter cage and use shorter (5 ½ “) filters.
